Delicious Pumpkin Seeds Recipe

Hey there again, guys! Happy November! It's still Day One of the life of my new blog, The Confessions of a Pastry Queen. But I've decided that instead of boring you and having my only post so far be about ME, I'd give you guys a delicious fall recipe, since it's officially Thanksgiving month, and all of those yummy recipes help you get in the mood. (This is my own recipe, and I actually did it a few days ago..and they tasted amazing!)

Baked Pumpkin Seeds

You need:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of raw whole pumpkin seeds
  • 1 pinch of salt (to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons of butter (I usually end up using more...the more butter you use, the less dry the seeds will be!)

What to do:
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • Strain off the fresh seeds to get rid of all of the pumpkin goop!
  • Toss seeds in a bowl with melted butter and salt.
  • Bake in a single layer on a baking sheet (spray sheet with canola oil first) for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally
  • Enjoy! :-)
