So, Alli Simpson was reading The Notebook, so I decided to read it, too. (Are you noticing a trend here? I think I mentioned before that I only read The Perks of Being a Wallflower because she did.) So I just finished it today, and here's my review. :)
So the story is about a guy named Noah and a girl named Allie (Obviously). Allie came to Noah's hometown of New Bern for the summer when she was a teenager, met Noah, and they fell in love.
However, Allie's parents didn't approve of Noah. So when it was time to leave at the end of the summer, Allie went with them.
Fast-forward to fourteen years later. Noah still missed Allie everyday. He owned an old plantation house, and since he spent so much money fixing it, it made it into the newspaper. Allie, where she lives, sees the paper and recognizes the house. She feels compelled to go back and see her first love again.
So Allie goes back and sees Noah, and remembers every feeling that she's felt for him since the time they first met fourteen years ago.
The only problem?
She's engaged.
So, she ultimately has to choose: Noah, or her fiance, Lon?
Read it and find out!
I absolutely loved this book. It was pretty confusing in the beginning, since a majority of the book is a flashback, so the beginning seems to throw you off a little. But I think Allie and Noah's love is absolutely adorable, and it makes me sad too. :(
Well now that I'm in a depressed mood..
